How do you tune a Darbuka?
I recently bought a Darbuka which is the same as a doumbek. How do I tune it? I can't find any classes anywhere so i am watching online videos. How do I know if I bought a good darbuka? I ask because the ones I see on the internet don't sound like mine. The ones on the internet sound more flat when it was hit. Mine has a small noise after each hit. Like a ringing noise.
some have tunable heads, some don't.
